As an organization IRHC is affiliated with other campus, state, regional, and national organizations. Links to all of them can be found below.

Garnet and Gold Chapter of the National Residence Hall Honorary

NRHH is an honorary group that is made up of the top 1% of residential student leaders. The group has tenets which guide them through most of their activities. The tenets are scholarship, service, leadership, and recognition. Our chapter has membership drives in the Fall and Spring and you can find an application on their site.

Student Government Association

SGA is composed of three branches (executive, legislative, and judicial). The Student Senate serves as the direct funding source for all of IRHC and all of the agencies. There are many ways to get involved with SGA, if you have any questions feel free to ask the the Director or Assistant Director. They will know the proper people to put you in touch with.

Florida Association of Residence Halls

Mini-FARH

A state leadership conference usually held in late September or early October. It is a drive-in (one day) conference and is free to all FARH affiliated schools. The main focus of this conference is learning and sharing: We all work together to solve problems specific to each school. A few program sessions are held with the intent to help each school with its progress and development. There is also a state meeting held to discuss business, provide school delegations an opportunity to meet the State Board of Directors, and present information about SAACURH and FARH.

FARH Conference

This is the state conference, usually held in February, with a focus on learning. Many programs are presented, ranging in topics from fundraising to programming to conflict resolution. There is a state meeting where most of FARH’s business is addressed. This includes the passing of the new FARH budget and the election of the new SBD. Also, there is a banquet where awards are presented, the host school for next year’s conference and Mini FARH is announced, and the newly elected SBD is formally introduced. A dance traditionally follows the banquet.

South Atlantic Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls

SAACURH Conference

This regional conference hosts about 800 delegates from school all across the southeastern region of the U.S. There are numerous programs presented, as well as other activities such as display and banner competitions, entertainment, banquet, and opening session roll call. There is also a regional business meeting where the Regional Student Award for Leadership Training (SALT) and the Program of the Year (POY) awards are selected.

No-Frills

This is the SAACURH business meeting usually held in March. Each school sends their NCC, advisor, and a representative from their NRHH chapter to conduct business. Members of the SAACURH Executive Committee are elected; regional awards (i.e. NCC of the Year, Advisor of the Year) are voted upon. SAACURH’s participation at NACURH is also discussed.

National Association of College and University Residence Halls

NACURH Conference

This huge conference is attended by delegates all across the U.S. Everything done at FARH or SASCURH is also done at NACURH, just on a much larger scale. Roll call is done by region and there are approximately 200 programs to choose from as well as more entertainment options. There are about 2000 student leader registered for NACURH.
